Elica Table

Tables: Base in Cristalplant®, composite material based on polyester and acrylic resins, loaded with minerals and mass pigmented. For the version 2575, tempered, extraclear, acidated plate glass top painted in the shade of white or made of white Carrara marble only matching the matt white base; or Sahara Noir marble top, with stain-resistant clear matt polyester protective varnish, matching the matt black varnished base. William Sofa

The new range of William monobloc, modular sofas and lounge chairs, designed by the British Damian Williamson enters the Zanotta 2015 catalogue to complete the upholstered range that has been a best seller for the living area since 2010. The William range, featuring its recognizable upholstered thin layers for the basic frame and the aluminum feet, comes to its completion thanks to the lounge chair modules and the solid oak or Canaletto walnut shelves. Box Bed

Arom is the latest armchair designed by Noé Duchaufour Lawrance for Zanotta. Maggiolina Lounge Chair

“A Cinderella that turns into a Princess,” we could write, to paraphrase Aurelio Zanotta about the process that led to the creation of the Maggiolina lounge chair. Starting from the hypothesis of an inexpensive, dismantable armchair, it was designed by Marco Zanuso towards the end of the 1940s for a competition held by the MoMA of New York. It had a structure of curved steel tubing from which a burlap ‘bag’ was hung, the ‘pockets’ of which contained two panels of plywood, inserted to support the two padded cushions used as seat and backrest. Nyx Bed

A new proposal for the night with minimal metal frame and soft headboard cushions that recall typical high comfort sofa cushions. A bed with a modern minimal design: fine metal frame and two soft cushions to form the headboard. "Project design focused on creating a bed that offers the comfort of a sofa for reading, watching TV, and so on. The idea of back cushions typical of sofas was shifted to the bed, using them as a headboard in this case. Even from a practical standpoint, the bed was meant to have upholstered parts with covers that could be easily removed for washing without complicated manoeuvres. This is an important feature for cleaning purposes and, not least of all, to change aesthetics by purchasing two cushion covers, even in another colour." Tucano Desk

A discreet, elegant, sculptural desk, an expression of refined simplicity and design synthesis. Attention to detail can be found in the visible rivets placed on the corner joints and in the new way of processing the leather whereby the thickness is tapered to create a depression that runs along the entire perimeter of the surface top. Grangala Bed

The Grangala offers the most substantial option, with its two separate headboards of differing size creating a dramatic play on scale and dimension. Milano Bed

Highlighted by essential and severe lines inspired by rationalism, yet comfortable in its overall shape, Milano really seems like the answer (an unexpected one, given the pop tone usually present in their work) of De Pas D’Urbino Lomazzi to the German master. Lia Chair

In 1999, continuing a now consolidated research on the leading topic of chairs with an aluminium frame, Zanotta presented the chair Lia that proved to be innovative due to the increasingly advanced use of die-casting: the chair side is made of one single element in aluminium alloy which holds the front and back legs and the chair back. Roberto Barbieri’s skill in designing this chair was also that of expertly merging an important technological innovation with a neutral, unimposing idea of shape which can easily adapt to any environment and furniture style. Ricordi Bed

A bed with a simple structure and impeccable details, which describes the intimacy of life. Genni Lounge Chair

In 1982, among the re-editions, the Genni lounge chair - designed by Gabriele Mucchi in 1935 - entered the Zanotta catalogue. This item is striking in its formal elegance and surprising continuous modernity.
It is made of bended and chromium-plated steel tube, a material symbol of the language of designers belonging to the movement of rationalist architecture, that at the beginning of last century had experienced the first new project opportunities offered by the nascent industry of modern furniture. The canopy bed has a long history, used since medieval times to shelter (particularly from the cold) great historical characters: kings, popes and queens, and thus renowned for the consequential sacred significance that this protection assumed. Centuries, customs and legends have passed, but the symbolic value of this particular bed (structured on four lateral supports that cradle a piece of fabric) still persists today, its romantic space created and defined around a dreamlike dimension.
